“When we recognize the talent, the virtues, the beauty of Mother Earth something is born in us, love is born”

– Thich Nhat Hanh

Hello!
Welcome to my Website!

Hello, welcome to my website! I’m so glad you’re here. It’s my passion to share the many ways we can tend the Earth, each leading us back to ourselves. This is because we and the Earth are one. We are One Soul, One Spirit, and one beautiful Spark of Light!

Gaia, the Soul of Earth, is in perfect resonance with each of us. Whether we’re a rock, a tree, a human, an animal, a drop of water or a particle of soil, we all have a Soul that sings with Gaia. It’s who we are, though many times as humans we forget this truth. It’s my joy and my passion to bring us back to that remembrance again.

Earth tending begins with an open Heart, a heart that is willing to love. The Earth responds to our love and is deeply nourished by it. Have you ever hugged a tree, for instance, and felt it wrap its energy all around you? That’s big tree love and it’s a wonderful thing to feel. We just open our arms and hearts to a tree and it cocoons us with its love. It’s magic!

Recently I was hiking in the mountains above my home and I stopped to hug one of my favorite trees. When I opened my eyes, there were three people on the trail smiling at me. One of them asked,” Hey, what’s it like to hug a tree, did it say anything to you?” I smiled at him and asked if he’d ever hugged one before and he said “No, I never have.” So I said, ” get on over here and hug this tree!” And sure enough, that beautiful soul came on over and wrapped his arms around the pine and gave it a great big hug! He was grinning ear-to-ear as he told me how good it felt to hug a tree! That was such a special moment for me and as they walked away I thought to myself,” Wow, tending Gaia can be as simple as hugging a tree!”. And you know what?  That wonderful Jeffrey Pine simply smiled…

On this website you’ll find a treasure trove of information on how to tend the Earth. First you can explore how to garden organically and then take it deeper by adopting an attitude of love, not war, in everything you do in the garden. I’ll introduce you to “The Essential Principle of Gardening with Heart”, a teaching I received from “The Overlighting Deva of my Garden”. This principle states that all members of the garden ( including those we regard as pests), are all part of the fabric of life, each living their own life purpose and worthy of our love and respect. This is certainly a more elevated way to garden and, from my perspective, it’s a more gentle and kind way to tend the garden as well. All part of tending Gaia.

In caring for the Earth, you can also explore a practice I call “Earth Energy Healing”. This practice gives you tools to assist the Earth in releasing the old energies of conflict, violence and destruction that she has absorbed through Her many years of human history. You can then replace this old energy with a new template of peace, kindness and love. There are numerous healing modalities you can use to assist in your Earth Energy Healing. These include using crystals, sacred geometric symbols, spinning vortexes of color, and various healing tones.

All so the Earth can let go of the old energies and create a new Template of Light!

Tending Gaia can also mean tending the garden of your own Soul. Does the food you eat nourish you and fill you with Life and Light? Does your self-care include spending quiet time to renew your own Spirit? Do you spend time in Nature where the Earth can fill your cup with Her healing essence? All of these things are part of self-love and when we love ourselves, we are loving Gaia too. We are part of the same Heart and that’s a beautiful thing indeed…

Once you realize that Earth and Heart have the same letters it all starts to  make sense.
